An article from the AJC today discusses a group in Atlanta, the Central Atlanta Progress group which creates a list regularly with several buildings in Atlanta in need of improvement. This group does not actually go out and refurbish these buildings however; they only create a "wish list" of sorts of buildings they hope will be revitalized from "shabby to chic" as the article depicts. Some of the buildings that were previously on the list include the old AJC office on Alabama Street and the Beaudry Ford site, which is now the Georgia State Commons.

Despite all the hype that Atlanta gets for bad sprawl, there are still groups that still try to minimize the negatives of it. Unused buildings are now getting new life when they are put on the CAPs list, and urbanization is one step closer with every new project.
